We built a game. It's called Mogg.
Think you can predict the future?
The team at Gravity Labs has been quietly building something a little different from the rest of our portfolio. Most of what we do is infrastructure: the plumbing that makes crypto safer, more useful, more boring in the good way. Mogg is not that. Mogg is a game, and today we’re letting our friends in for the first time.
It’s a free daily game of skill where predicting the future wins you prizes.
Can you predict the future?
Once a day, Mogg hands you 10 categories: sports, crypto, politics, weather, whatever the world is arguing about that day. You get a short window (about three minutes right now) to call YES or NO on one event per category, lock in your slate of 10, and walk away.
Then the day plays out. As your picks come in you score points. If you can score all 10 you get a big bonus.
Think of it as a Wordle-style daily ritual, except instead of guessing a word, you’re reading the world and the odds are real.
A day in Mogg is simple
Open the app at the daily drop. Ten categories are waiting. Talk trash in the chat room.
You’ve got a few minutes. Pick a side in each, lock your slate.
The world resolves your picks over the next 24 hours.
Points can be turned in for prizes in the in-app store.
The best part is the slate card: a shareable view of all 10 of your picks. It’s built to be screenshotted and sent to the group chat, ideally with some trash talk attached.
This is only version one
This first version is free to play, with no money on the line. No wagering, no cash payouts, no funds changing hands. You play with picks, you earn points, you redeem points for prizes. That’s it.
We did that on purpose. Before we build anything more ambitious, we want to know one thing: is this fun enough that you’ll come back tomorrow? A daily game lives or dies on whether it becomes a habit, and there’s only one honest way to find out. Hence: you, today, playing for real.
There’s a bigger vision behind Mogg: one we’re excited about and will share more on when the time is right. For now, we’re keeping our heads down on the part that matters: making the daily game compelling.
This is where you come in
You’re getting this because you’ve supported me or supported Gravity, and because we trust you to tell us the truth.
We want you to play it, break it, and tell us what’s clunky, confusing, or boring. Early feedback from people who’ll be straight with us is worth more than almost anything else right now.
To say thanks, here’s a code for free bonus points to start your account:
MYV6HDKU
Redeem it in the app when you sign up. (iOS only for now, if you want to join the waitlist for Android, go here)
Play for a few days. See if it sticks. Then hit reply (or text me) and tell me what you really think… especially the unflattering parts.
More soon,
Kyle, Niko & the Gravity Labs team
